Notes from the Set

To clarify my earlier comments, let me add this:

The first week of shooting, as far as I could tell, went exceedingly well; all things considered.

My comments about making friends on set may have been slightly misleading however. So let me be clear. I love the people Im working with; they truly are a great group of folks. The point I was trying to make about friends, ultimately, however, was really about about pissing off the clock. In TV you’re always working under a countdown. Time is running out, and time is always money. When something isn’t working and you have to stop and fix it, the clock becomes unhappy, and stares you down with a bloodshot hairy eyeball. That said, sometimes you have to look right back and say,”Fuck off! This isn’t working, and we need the time to fix it.”

Its always unpopular to stand up to the clock, and take time when time is running out -especially as an actor- was my point.

So, to those I may have confused about my emotional state as I start this new project: Please know, I truly am excited about what we’re making up here. I think its going to be an awesomely twisted mind-fuck of a really cool show. #KnockOnWood.
