I suppose looking back on your handling of #PussyRiot you’re wishing you’d handled it differently, huh? As opposed to giving them a slap on the wrist and sending them on their way, you’ve now managed to create international icons and martyrs for freedom of expression the world won’t soon forget. By allowing your political ego to stoop to their level, you’ve now elevated them above the prominence of your own presidency. You’ve even managed to piss off Paul McCartney. I’m sure you feel proud of yourself tho; thinking you showed mercy and leniency, when ironically all you’ve done is confirm #Pussyriots point by exposing your legal system as your patsy and proving you’re less a president and more pompous purveyor totalitarianism. May this be a lesson dear sir in the bountiful benefits of benevolence.

I suppose Sir Paul was right all along: Back in the USSR….
