Presidential Idol

Dear @BarackObama and @MittRomney,
It’s my feeling that to be a great president one must be a great actor. In this respect @BarackObama you are correct; a president must be a good storyteller. With this in mind, I feel it important that we as a nation add a new dimension of substance to all the redundant mind-numbing presidential campaigning going on.
Essentially, campaigning -as you know- is auditioning. As far as I’m concerned you are two actors auditioning for the part of our President; and we the casting directors. So, as a casting director of the role of President, I think each actor/candidate, after all the debates are over, should present a monologue to the world - without a teleprompter!
As a casting director, the qualities of the President I’m looking for are, Kingly and Royal; Regal and Wise; Commanding and Confident; Decisive and Clear; Articulate, Soothing, Intelligent and Just. Being Vital and Charismatic, he must value Family as well. These qualities conjure only one play-write capable of covering such epic and sweeping values in one monologue - Shakespeare.
That’s right, I think before we cast the final deciding vote, each of you, the candidate/actor, in an ‘American Idol’ like forum must preform a monologue from one of Shakespeare’s dramas that represent archetypes of the King or Prince.
Whoever can most successfully capture and embody the bold power and sweeping poetic beauty of Shakespeare’s Kings and Princes will surely have my vote. For only a man capable of doing so is capable of being my President.
